May 13 Virtual Senior Awards Ceremony
Lithonia High School will honor seniors on Thursday, May 13, 6:00pm, during the virtual Senior Awards Ceremony. This special event will be hosted online via MS Teams; the Teams link will be provided here the day of the ceremony. Congratulations, Class of 2021!




 
Junior Meetings on May 12
Juniors graduating in 2022, plan to attend the Class of 2022/Junior meeting on Wednesday, May 12, on Microsoft Teams. Click here for the schedule and Teams meeting links. Students taking the AP Language exam on May 12 should join the 1:00pm meeting.
 
Spring 2021 Final Exam Schedule
Senior Final Exams:
  • Tuesday, May 11, 2nd and 4th periods
  • Thursday, May 13, 1st and 3rd periods
  • Make-up day: Friday, May 14
9th-11th Grade Final Exams:
  • Monday, May 24, 2nd and 4th periods
  • Tuesday, May 25, 1st and 3rd periods
  • Make-up day: Thursday, May 27 (excused absences only)
 
Chromebook and Hotspot Collection Schedule
Students are REQUIRED to return their DCSD-issued Chromebooks, bags, chargers, and hotspots by the end of the school year. CLICK HERE FOR THE RETURN SCHEDULE.



 
2021 LHS Football
Football workouts will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30pm-6:00pm. Players must have updated physicals; click here for the physical form. Players must wear masks to workouts, and temperature checks will be completed upon arrival.

Conditioning and Tryouts for 2021 Volleyball Season
Interested in joining the 2021 volleyball team? The coaching staff is pleased to announce conditioning and tryouts dates for the upcoming season. The dates are: May 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 13, from 3:45pm-5:15pm.  We recommend that you attend ALL dates to showcase your skills and abilities. If you cannot make it, please contact Coach Rudolph, jasmine_rudolph@dekalbschoolsga.org.
 In order to participate and prior to conditioning/tryouts, you must have:
   an updated and completed physical (click here)
   a signed concussion form (click here) 
   cardiac arrest form (click here) 
   COVID-19 form (click here) 
Be sure to wear comfortable athletic gear, a mask, and tennis shoes, and bring your own water.

Congratulations, LHS Art Stars!
Congratulations to LHS sophomore Dorian Hoyt! His artwork (pictured left) has been selected for Dekalb County School District's 2020-2021 Art Star Hall of Fame collection at the AIC, District Office Complex, where it will be on display for one year. This is a great opportunity, as each school submits a limited number of nominated student art works to DCSD's visual and performing arts review process. Only selected elementary, middle, and high school visual arts students participate in this county-wide event. Dorian's art teacher is Mr. David Hill.

Congratulations to LHS junior Charles Jones! Charles was named a DCSD Art Star for Performing Arts-Drama. Charles acted act 2, scene 5 from The Piano Lesson. Charles' drama teacher is Ms. Jodi-Ann Henry.

Congrats to LHS Senior Zae Brewer!
Congratulations to LHS Senior Zae Brewer! The Georgia Department of Education recently announced Zae as a 2021 Georgia Delegate to the United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) competition. The USSYP is an intensive week-long educational experience and scholarship sponsored by the United States Senate for outstanding high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in public service. As a delegate,Zae  will receive also $10,000 scholarship from the Hearst Foundation. More information about the United States Senate Youth Program can be found at https://ussenateyouth.org/. Among his many other accomplishments, Zae also serves as Lithonia's Senior Class President. Your LHS family is proud of you, Zae!
